Now, we do tend to rabbit on about getting good quality sunnies to keep out those nasty UV rays because it is SO important to protect your eyes. But we do our fair share of green-fingered planet-loving too.
That’s why we were thrilled to come across this charming DIY blog post by HonestlyWTF about crafting your own embroidered glasses – Ulyana Sergeenko-style. In this instance, we’re more than happy for you to put your cheapo frames to good use instead of chucking them on top of the world’s refuse pile.
If you’ve never sewn on a button before, this might be jumping the needle and thread somewhat, but their instructions are pretty easy to follow with handy step-by-step pictures too.
Before you cross over to their gorgeous site, here’s a heads up of what you’ll need:
– a pair of sunglasses with plastic lenses
– embroidery floss
– hand held drill (they us a Dremel here)
– 3/64″ drill bit
– thin needle
– felt tip marker
– nail polish remover
All set? Right, let’s stitch and bitch…
