2012 is rapidly disappearing (hooray – it’s summer!), so our fantastic Newcastle Industrial Benefits (NIB) customers – you have only a couple of months to use this years health cover rebate! Why not use your (NIB) optical cover to claim for your new Sneaking Duck glasses? (Those with other health funds might want to use up their optical cover too!)
The Sneaking Duck side of claiming NIB Optical Benefits
Most NIB customers will have the majority of the cost of glasses covered with their NIB Extras cover – depending on the level of cover you have chosen with NIB, you’ll get 50%, 65% or 75% of the cost back – thats what we want to hear! You might want to check your limits with NIB before finalising your order, but here’s an indication of our pricing breakdown.
When we send your new glasses to you, we also send an itemised invoice, which will have ‘item codes’ for frames, lens and lens coatings (like our anti-glare coating which is automatically included on your lenses). Our prices are split between the ‘items’ as follows:
If you buy 1 pair of Sneaking Duck glasses for $180, the price is split between the codes like this:
|Normal lenses, Multicoating||Code 212/662||$90|
For multiple pairs, each extra pair at $90 is split between codes in the same ratio, i.e. $45 for frames, $45 for coated lenses.
If you buy 1 pair of frames with high index lenses for $240, the price split is as follows:
|High index lenses, Multicoating||Code 612/662||$150|
For our sunglasses collection:
The extra charge is billed to item codes 632/672, Lens tinting, UV coating.
Your level of cover will determine how much the NIB rebate is for each item. There is more information in our FAQ section. Please note this is meant only as a guide – your personalised invoice will have the exact details and we always recommend contacting your health fund to clarify any health fund specific questions you might have.
Okay, I’ve got my invoice, now what?!
So you want to know how to claim? Once your Sneaking Duck glasses have arrived, you should wear them while you read your invoice. Joke! …but really, you should. On your invoice are your item codes and our NIB provider number, which is 10107636. To claim, all you have to do is take these two things (and presumably your wallet!) to your local NIB branch. Or you could claim for your glasses by phone, mail or via NIB’s mobile app!
Please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us if you have any questions.
